My LeBron Predictions (if anyone cares)
If he goes to Miami (a big if), then here’s how the near future plays out:
- Miami loses in the Eastern Conference finals next year to Boston, the year after that to Orlando, and then, maybe, makes the finals in 2013. If Miami doesn’t self-destruct by then.
- LA wins the 2011 and 2012 NBA Championships, and Kobe - with 7 NBA rings - establishes his claim for Best of All Time. He’s not (Jordan is), but Kobe forces everyone to keep his name in the conversation.
- By 2013, Kevin Durant’s OKC Thunder are firing on all cylinders and win the first of their 3-peat as NBA champions.
LeBron, meanwhile, never wins an NBA championship and replaces Malone/Barkley/Baylor as “the best who never won it all.”
