How did central Kentucky become horse country? - By Hillary Busis - Slate Magazine
Interesting. And a strange “correction” at the end, stating that Louisville is actually in “north central” Kentucky, not “central” Kentucky. If Louisville is in “north central Kentucky,” then I guess Indiana is “northwestern Kentucky.” Kentucky has a bad rep for education, but what does it say about Slate’s East Coast readers that they need such specific instructions in order to figure out where Louisville is? From now on, I will refer to New York City as “just south of Boston.”
