Missing Context on the Golden Temple
This article manages to omit both the Golden Temple’s religious significance (it houses Sikhism’s sacred book, which Sikh’s regard as a living guru) and its political meaning (a 1980s Indian military attack on Sikh militants at the Temple killed hundreds of civilians and led directly to Indira Gandhi’s assassination by two of her Sikh bodyguards).
